The Coby CSMP88 is not the sleekest of designs that you will come across. Perhaps the fact that the subwoofer is housed within the frame should be considered. The surface is all matte and has a black grille fabric. The controls are housed in a small gloss like panel in the middle of the frame. It has an RCA input and two line source inputs for 3.5mm analog jacks. No coaxial or optical inputs.
The best part however comes when you switch on the speakers. The sound is not ground breaking. But itís crisp and definitely a step-up from your TV speakers. The bass is loud and deep. It features a 3D sound enhancement with sonic emotion technologies and this adds a new dimension to the sound. You almost want to use it all the time rather than using the default settings which leave a lot to be desired even for an entry soundbar.
