The DeLonghi DD45P is worthy of the look from those in the market for an efficient energy saving model as this one has a patented pump function and Energy-Star qualification. It also has easy to use LCD electronic controls for ease of use when monitoring temperature and humidity levels. This particular model makes having a dehumidifier in the home hardly noticeable because you won’t have to constantly empty the bucket because of the patented pump function that gets rid of the moisture for you.
The noise level is not that bad especially when using the low fan setting. It has the ability to lower the humidity level in just an hour from 65% to 45%, which is pretty good for a home dehumidifier. This is perhaps the easiest unit to operate – there is a power button, a timer button and a display button and using the unit is pretty self-explanatory. The built-in pump really works well.
Lacks the ability to schedule on and off times so you must turn it on and off several times a week manually. The hose attaches to the front of the unit and it would be better had the unit been designed so that the hose could be a side or rear hookup instead.
The Bottom Line:
The DeLonghi DD45P with patented pump is a unit that can be easily recommended because it works well and also is easy to operate and is relatively quiet while in operation.
